It seems like people have been saying, "Deep Ellum is dead," for a long time now. The artists showing their work at the Hal Samples Gallery in June have to disagree.

On June 14th a new installation of works created by emergent Dallas artists opens at Hal Samples Gallery. The show features photography by Dylan Hollingsworth, Fred Holston, Desirae Embree, and sculpture by Sergio Garcia and Shane Rydenour. All of these artists have come together with gallery owner Hal Samples to help create "SPACE," the artist community and creative hub above the gallery. The show is a testament that art is not dead in Deep Ellum; it has just been napping.
